1. Bentonite cat litter

Bentonite cat litter is the most common cat litter, with affordable price, good water absorption and average deodorizing effect. Bentonite has better wrapping power and is easy to agglomerate. When shoveling shit, it is enough to shovel the agglomerated balls.

However, ordinary bentonite cat litter is relatively dusty, and it will look dirty after use, which is easy to cause damage to the lungs of cats and shovelers.

2. Tofu cat litter, corn cat litter

These two kinds of cat litter are relatively environmentally friendly cat litter. They are made of natural crops. They smell better, have better deodorizing effect, and have less dust and less residue. It can be flushed directly into the toilet after use, which is very convenient.

However, these two kinds of cat litter are relatively common and easy to disperse. In addition, corn cat litter is easy to attract bugs and breed bacteria, so it needs to be cleaned in time.

3. Mixed cat litter

Mixed cat litter is generally a mixture of bentonite cat litter and tofu cat litter in proportion, and can also be mixed with pine cat litter. The mixed cat litter combines the characteristics of both sides, the dust is small, the deodorizing effect is not bad, and the clumping is better. In addition, due to the presence of borax, it is not recommended to flush directly into the toilet, which may cause blockage.

4. Crystal cat litter

The main component of crystal cat litter is silica gel particles, which are dust-free, have good water absorption, and can directly absorb cat urine. The crystal sand that absorbs cat urine turns yellow and does not agglomerate, just shovel the cat poop out. When more than 80% of the cat litter turns yellow, it can be replaced.

However, crystal cat litter has many restrictions. If a singlelayer cat litter box is used, the bottom layer of cat litter will be immersed in the unabsorbed cat urine and become slag,which is more wasteful. Therefore, it is best to spread the crystal cat litter on the filter screen, and lay a layer of urine pad underneath to absorb the cat urine that seeps down. Due to the lack of agglomeration, soft stools are troublesome and wasteful to deal with.

Crystal cat litter is more troublesome to use, and it is dangerous to be eaten by mistake, so crystal cat litter is rare.

5. Confetti cat litter

The main component of confetti cat litter is recycled paper products that can be flushed directly into the toilet. Like crystal cat litter, although there is no dust, it is best to use a doublelayer cat litter box, and it is more troublesome to deal with soft stools.   And the price is not cheap, so the usage rate is relatively low.

6. Pine cat litter

Pine cat litter is made of recycled paper pulp, natural crop extracts, etc., crushed and pressed, and then re-crushed into powder after absorbing water, which can be flushed directly into the toilet. A double-layer cat litter box is also required. The lower layer collects scattered powder. When cleaning, shake the powder remaining in the upper layer to the lower layer, and mainly clean the lower layer.

However, pine cat litter has the smell of sawdust, which will be resisted by some cats. In addition, it is easy to breed bacteria in a humid environment and needs to be cleaned in time.

7. Zeolite cat litter

Zeolite cat litter is mainly because of its strong adsorption and excellent deodorization effect. Because the particles are heavy, the dust is small, and it is rarely brought out by cats.

However, zeolite cat litter does not absorb water, so it should also be used with a urine pad. As long as the diaper pad is changed in time and the cat has no soft stools, zeolite cat litter saves a lot compared to other cat litter.
